What do I need to be able to start offering this?

You need to be a Direct Debit Originator under AUDDIS
If you already accept payments by Direct Debit, your Service User Number must be registered under AUDDIS (Automated Direct Debit Instruction Service). This allows payments to be set up electronically and means you no longer need to send paper instruction to the bank. If you are not registered under AUDDIS your Bank Manager can help set this up.
If you don't accept payments by Direct Debit at the moment but would like to do so, then please call us to find out how we can help you set this up with your bank.

You need to be setup under Paperless Direct Debit
As well as being registered under AUDDIS, you will also need to be set up under Paperless Direct Debit. This enables you to offer the Direct Debit service via the telephone, keypad, interactive TV and, in this case, the Internet, without the need to obtain a signature. You may need to use a new application form; your Bank Manager can provide you with one and help you get set up.
